A New Generation of Fabric Coated Safety Work Gloves

There are lots types of safety work gloves, and of which coated fabric gloves are widely used for a general-purpose that offers a higher level of abrasion, puncture, and cut resistance, protection from the liquid and water, and improved chemical resistance compared to standard fabric gloves.

The coatings can be made from a variety of materials, including latex, nitrile, polyurethane (PU), and PVC. The right coating benefits your job. As technology advanced, our safety work gloves have been significantly changed in the materials and products that we use to protect our hands against water, oil, cuts, and heat.

If found worldwide success by inventing a new coating that transformed the uses of the safety work gloves, the patent application of one innovation polymer polyurethane (PPU) coating submitted by SIQI Glove (SQG) and SIQI Science and Technology, have revealed the plans to help the workers from protecting hands in different workplace.

Our Earth is suffering from pollution, global warming, extinction of wildlife species, etc. These problems require more concern and comprehensive solutions. To solve these problems, we should Go-Green to save the Earth.

SIQI decided to innovate a new coating to play an important role in green manufacturing. We plan to use environmentally friendly raw materials to produce for new coating. Meanwhile, we aims to minimize the pollution and waste during the production via none-solvent production process.

We want our users to have a safe experience and quality assurance when using a safety work gloves.

The whole manufacturing process is a chemical reaction process. If there is no suitable and strict control on raw materials and production processes, the end products will easily have chemical residues, which do not meet the requirements of REACH, ROHS, or other tests.

SIQI wants to innovate the SAFEST coated fabric safety working gloves. The new coating aims to pass the Germany LFGB Food Grade Test & USA FDA test, with features of non-toxic and no precipitation of any harmful substances that could migrate into the food.

Note: DMF, namely dimethylformamide, is a transparent liquid, which is miscible with water and most organic solvents. On October 27th, 2017, the list of carcinogens published by the international agency for research on cancer of the World Health Organization was preliminarily sorted out for reference, DMF is on the list of class 2A carcinogens. DMF can be absorbed through the skin, causing harm to human health. Therefore, there are restrictions on DMF residues in gloves, clothes, and hats in the EU and other countries (it is required that after 48 hours at 23 ℃, the volatilization shall not be higher than 10 μ g/m3). In traditional production, although DMF was extracted in the production process, the residual amount of DMF in the final product was still kept at 100ppm (n*100mg/kg, 1 ≤ n<10, i.e. the content of DMF in every 1kg PU leather) or more, which brings potential hazards to users and the product unable to enter the European market.

What are Polymer Polyurethane (PPU) and PolyMAX®?

The PolyMAX® is a multi-functional, green polymer coating with a leather-like surface, made from polymer polyurethane (PPU) material. It’s a fundamental breakthrough for the long-term safety of the environment as it eliminates the use of solvents in the manufacturing process (Nano Graphene Technology).

PU Polymer: Natural foaming makes PolyMAX® have a 360° air permeability, good abrasion, comfortable hand feeling, and certain anti-static
TPU Polymer: Makes PolyMAX® with good oil resistance and adsorption
PUD Polymer: DMF-free, only water is used as an intermediate, hazardous chemicals such as foaming agents and anti-seepage agents are not required, and any additives are not required
Nano Graphene Technology: the above three polymers can be well combined to achieve the effects of broad molecular weight distribution, strength, wear resistance, soft, hard, and viscous

PolyMAX® has been successfully applied to safety work gloves, making the gloves have different appearance and performance.
Reinforcement on the thumb crotch and dot beads on the coating is no longer limited to nitrile materials. In other words, SIQI can use the PolyMAX® coating as reinforcement and dotted on the glove, similar materials are more durable and adhesive compared to the nitrile.

We are Able to Design Different Styles in Different Workplaces by Using PolyMAX® Coating

We can customize your PolyMAX® Gloves depending on the tasks and working environments. For example, if you want to resist a little bit lower temperatures, WB-610 and WR-610 should be your choice, but if you want to have high air permeability and flexibility, you would choose B-613 with the COOLMAX® fibers.

We also have customized gloves based on the different workplaces and industries. For electronic assembly, ST-610 would be the best fit, because of its antistatic (ESD) coating. Besides that, we have the anti-cut series with PolyMAX® Gloves.
